Coffee or sea salt? Choosing your hammam peeling

The peeling hammam package comes with a choice: coffee or sea salt. We compare texture, feel and how both differ from the kese scrub so you can pick the one that suits you.

Is the kese the same as a peeling?

No. The kese is the classic hammam step: skin softened on the warm marble is rubbed with a kese mitt. A peeling is a second exfoliating step that follows it, done with a granular blend. The Sea Salt or Coffee Peeling Hammam Package at Lilyum brings both steps into one session.

How does coffee peeling feel?

Ground coffee has fine, soft grains and feels gentler on the skin. Its scent is distinctive and gives the session a warm, familiar note. Guests who enjoy the smell of coffee and prefer a softer texture usually choose this option.

Who is sea salt peeling for?

Sea salt has more noticeable grains, so the scrub feels stronger than coffee. Guests who want a more intense sense of cleansing after the kese tend to choose salt. If your skin is irritated, freshly shaved or sunburnt, choose coffee instead or ask your therapist.

How the package runs

The 60-minute package has four steps: a 15-minute kese, 15 minutes of sea salt or coffee peeling, a 20-minute lavender foam massage and a 10-minute clay mask. Write your peeling choice in the booking note or tell your therapist at the start of the session.

After the session

Skin can be more sensitive after a peeling, so it is a good idea to postpone sunbathing and strong cosmetic products that day. Enjoy your hot drink in the relaxation area and drink plenty of water to round off the day comfortably.
